Editorial Review:

Product Description:

Amazon.com Review:
Money maven Suze Orman's latest book, Women & Money addresses the complicated (and often dysfunctional) relationship women have with personal finance. Orman's direct, non-condescending style is perfect for this subject matter--she begins with the premise that "Women can invest, save, and handle debt as well and skillfully as any man" and then tackles the important question--"So why don't they?" Designed to educate and inspire, Women & Money also offers a "Save Yourself Plan," a five-month program that "delivers genuine long-term financial security." Want to know more? Watch a video message from Suze below, and take a gander at the first chapter of Women & Money--you'll be "controlling your destiny" in no time. --Daphne Durham

Read the First Chapter of Women & Money

For Women Only

I never thought I'd write a book about money just for women. I never thought it was necessary. So then why am I doing just that in my eighth book? And why now? Let me explain. All my previous books were written with the belief that gender is not a factor on any level in mastering the nuts and bolts of smart financial management. Women can invest, save, and handle debt just as well and skillfully as any man. I still believe that--why would anyone think differently? So imagine my surprise when I learned that some of the people closest to me in my life were in the dark about their own finances. Clueless. Or, in some cases, willfully resisting doing what they knew needed to be done. I'm talking about smart, competent, accomplished women who present a face to the world that is pure confidence and capability. Do you mean to tell me that I, Suze Orman, who make my living solving the financial problems of total strangers, couldn't spot the trouble brewing so close to home? I don't think I'm blind; I just think that these women became very, very good at hiding their troubles from me.Why not? They had years of practice hiding them from themselves.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - All Women Must Read!
In the past, I already respected Suze Orman's financial advice. After reading this book, my respect increased even more. It was very easy to follow, and she gave websites to access even more detailed information throughout the book.
Even for knowledgeable women like myself, I learned a lot of new, valuable information!
I strongly believe ALL women can benefit from this book. Any woman who currently allows her spouse to have control of the finances needs to read this! This ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Provides easy steps you can follow
Orman writes in a way that is simple and easy to follow. Get good advice on how to get your life in order and free yourself from financial burden. She mixes a lot of emotional feelings with money - a person out of debt is a happy person. Orman breaks down complicated ideas and provides easy steps you can follow.

She also makes me laugh, especially on her show. It's pretty funny when people ask her if they should make a big purchase and she bluntly rejects that idea.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Thank you for removing the veil!
My husband has always tried to get me to understand our finances better. I've read other 'financial' books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, the Millionaire Next Door, etc; but truly this is the first book for the average person, that gives a step by step guide on lining your ducks in a row. As I read through the book, in many ways I felt like I was a step ahead b/c I have life ins, working on a will, have some ER savings etc - but now I realize just how in the dark I was.
Now I know how much to set aside ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great book! Very helpful.
What a treasure of good information. I like a lot of Suze's books but this one in particular hit home for me as a woman who has managed her own money for a lot of her life and who wishes she had this information earlier. I read the book a year or two ago and I liked it a lot initially and have read parts of it again since then. What better day than Tax Day to sing its praises!!
